Everywhere, EVERYWHERE! It's the immaculate inauguration. I'm going to make this brief and then crawl back under the covers and hide 'till tomorrow. I realize that having a black guy for president is a big deal. It definitely fulfills MLK jr's dream where a man is judged "by the content of his character rather than the color of his skin". Ok, good, so now we have a black president who's done nothing but run for office his entire adult life, but at least he have a black president. Good for us!
I can be cool and be happy for everyone who cares that Obama is black. Have your day in the sun. Jump up, dance, hoot and holler, get drunk or don't. Good for you. Seriously, if it means that much to you that he's black, great! But do you think that tomorrow, when he's still black, and the country that you all have been complaining about for the last 8 years is still going down the crapper...do you think (maybe) we could get past how wonderful Barak H. Obama is and start really looking at what he's actually doing?
At least for a little while...there is an election in 4 years after all...
