I saw this and I couldn't resist posting a response to it... here. I signed in as Midwest Guy, but in case they take it down here's the original...
Three years ago, I was a hardcore Microsoft guy. I was weened at the Microsoft teat. Until, in an act of what I thought was lunacy, my business partner bought a Mac for our company. It took me about 15 mins to get the hang of the system, all of the new stuff coming out (generally) works with all the old stuff you have, and Leopard is amazing!
I ask again... what are you people doing to yourselves? You're sitting around using poorly mimicked Mac OS's. There are some of you that are "threatening" that you will continue to use an outdated OS (XP) until Microsoft's "new" system comes out in 2010?!?! (With all the bugs that it will inevitably have) You're pleading to be sold old software? Does this make sense? Why not just go back to Pong and the Commodore 64?
I know that the price of Mac scares many of you... but think, how much did you pay for Vista? And it's upgrades? How many times have you dealt with the blue screen of death? How many times does your sphincter tighten up every time you get one of those "virus alert" spams? How many more generations must we lose?!?!
Instead of making demands to the demi-gods of mediocrity, why not just bite the bullet and come into the new age?
Just one final thought... how many petitions and websites are there out there to "Save 'Tiger'" (Mac's previous OS)? How many Mac users do you know (and admit it, you know one or two) that are bitching about how much Leopard sucks, or are going to keep using Tiger until the next OS comes out? Save yourselves!
